On January 19th, according to the Stone Forest Tourist Administration, the Stone Forest Karsts Geo Science Museum which had been invested 100 million yuan on to was inaugurated on the first eve of the Dragon Year. It only costs every visitor 120 yuan to have a full-length sight at the acid rocks, fossils, mineral stones, ancient rocks and other hundreds of pieces of national treasures exhibited within the pavilion in the Stone Forest Scenic Spot. Visitors can also purchase the genuine jewelry within the spot.

The museum covers the area of 18927 square kilometers. There are three pavilions now and seven exhibitions for tourists. Pavilion 1 exhibits milk stones, fossils, mines standards, gem. Pavilion 2 mainly demonstrates the unusual and prestigious woods. Thousands of jewelry available to the visitors and ebony are shown in the Pavilion3.

It is said by Xingjian Wu, the investor of the Stone Forest Geo Science Museum and the Chairman of the Stone Forest Deli Geological Science and Technology Co. Ltd that the most distinguishable exhibition should be the iron nickel meteorite who bears the unique quality from Nandan, Guangxi. In terms of the market price, the price of the meteorite is as ten times as gold. The exhibition monkey’s head is the only stalactites fossil all over the world. It overturned the inference that stalactites can not generate fossils in the archaeology. It’s valuable in science. The Chrysanthemum Stone King whose diameters are as long as 68 cm broke the world chrysanthemum stone Guinness Book of Records to become the first flower in the Guinness. The feast with 216 dishes combining Manchurian and Chinese delicacies are impressive. Even the thelephora bacteria and hams are vividly lifelike, which was amazing during the exhibition.

The fossil exhibition must be the most popular and attractive pavilion among the visitors. Large to the mammoth fossils, tiny to the mosquitoes and their larvae are distinctly visible. The 8-meter-long ichthyosaur in full length is the most striking exhibit. Dating back 230 million years, ichthyosaurs were the maritime hegemony. Being in the river of timing, visitors are likely to produce a sense of being blurred.

The mine exhibitions also drew so much attention. The mine generated by emerald, sapphire, red diamonds, gold, silver and brass demonstrated the value and quality of stones. The gorgeous luminous stones are comprised of more than ten kinds of mineral stones. Under the light of fluorescent, the stones show red, green, purple and other colors, shining mysterious and unpredictable.

Million ounces of gold are not as valuable as a chunk of ebony. The exhibitions in the ebony pavilion are shaped into birds. Among them, the Boutique Bird and the Birds to the Sun were two competitive products. Besides, the large-scale Laozi statue of ebony, with smile on the face showing the warmness to the visitors, sprightly as a fairy was the shining spot on the exhibition.

The price of the ticket to the Stone Forest Geo Science Museum is 120 yuan per person. The museum locates around the terminal station of the spot battery cars. Opening hours are from 8 am to 6 pm. According to Xingjian Wu, the tourist line is flow-through the whole spot and there is no need getting back to the covered lines, the capacity of the museum is as much as 10,000 visitors, which means no matter how many visitors are there in the scenic spot, services are well-equipped.
