Stone Forest Hot Pot
The stone forest enjoys the good reputation as the "Town of wrestling”. Every year, Yi village of Stone Forest will invites Yi people from hometown or other counties to attend the wrestling and bullfighting matches held at big festivals and the Chinese New year. Among them, the annual traditional torch festival held on June 24 of lunar calendar is the most ceremonious one. If you were in Stone Forest during this period of time, you can not only go sightseeing in the Stone Forest, but also watching the fabulous wrestling and bullfighting matches. Besides, you will be able to taste the special hot pot of Yi people. Mutton, beef, dog meat and horseflesh can be cooked in the hot pot. With dipping sauce of burned chili, the taste, smell and color will be quite typical of Yi village.
