Shooting off firecrackers is the Chinese way of sending out the old year and welcoming in the new. With crackling firecrackers and loud sound of gongs and drums, Sani people performed traditional cheerful dance to welcome the first group visitors at the entrance of the park. Leaders of Shilin Geopark sent red envelopes, souvenirs and New Year greetings to the first group visitors at the entrance of the park.
